1. Scope  This standard specifies the terms and definitions, types and the symbols for the optical
  boards and used in the specifications of the optical boards having optical cable(s) and/or wave
  guide(s) for
  signal transmission used in any electronic module.  The optical wiring is divided into two
  categories in this standard of optical fiber and polymer wave guide.  Two types of boards are
  considered as the flexible wiring board and the rigid wiring board.  Combinations of these
  attributes and the polymer optical wave guide are systematically organized in this standard.

  3.1.4 A sequential number for each item specified in 3..1.3.  “S” for Standard or “G” for
       Guideline should be added at the end.
